For the past week the circus that is Donald Trump's Washington has had a new ringmaster - and Omarosa Manigault Newman, a former senior White House aide who has gone rogue in explosive style, shows no sign of leaving the stage.
"It sounds a little like, obviously, that there are some things you've got in the back pocket to pull out", Lara Trump says on the recording, in what turned out to be an understatement.
Trump is not happy with Omarosa Manigault Newman.
And Lara Trump continues, "Everything, positive, right?" "I believe that by avoiding Donald's clasp in public, Melania was grasping the full extent of her new power", Omarosa writes.
She made her latest charge of a "race war" during a discussion on the White House's hiring policies and how the administration staff is mainly white.
But visual evidence would provide yet more proof that Manigault Newman, who built a reputation for reality-show exaggeration and deception, is actually a credible (or at least semi-credible) source.
"I don't have a problem with Donald Trump having used it in the past as my president". She's accused Trump of being racist and suffering from a mental decline.
That's according to a person with direct knowledge of what Manigault Newman has described as a multimedia "treasure trove".
Both Trump and Apprentice executive producer Mark Burnett have denied the allegations, with Burnett taking to Twitter to state that the alleged tapes do not exist.
She did not offer any details of what those tapes might contain but in previous interviews has said she has a tape of the president saying the n-word.
'I don't have that word in my vocabulary, and never have.
In the lead-up to the publication of her book, the 41-year-old has been making waves with claims she has tapes from within the White House.
"It's much worse than people even realize", Manigault Newman said of the Trump admnistration.
According to Newsweek, Omarosa has compounded these claims by saying that - for her part - Melania can't wait to divorce Donald Trump.
