Lucas Perez: West Ham sign Spanish striker from Arsenal

Alfredo Pedulla states an agreement taking the Colombia worldwide to the London Stadium is set to be completed imminently, with Fiorentina looking to get a midfielder of their own in return (more on that shortly).

"I'm very excited, as West Ham are giving me the chance to stay in the Premier League", Perez told the club's official website.

"There are other clubs interested but joining West Ham would allow him to continue in London and in the Premier League and Lucas wants to continue in London".

West Ham director of football Mario Husillos added: "He is a very experienced player that Manuel and I both know well from Spain".

Wilshere has jumped the gun by revealing the 29-year-old inside the Hammers dressing room on his Instagram story and it appears like the deal has been wrapped up. "I've loved my time here when I've been involved and playing, but obviously past year I went out and played games and bonded with the Aston Villa fans, staff and players and everyone around the city, so I appreciate them for that".

Sanchez spent second half of last season on loan at Espanyol and his contract with Fiorentina expires at the end of next season.

West Ham are close to signing Arsenal forward Lucas Perez in a £5 million deal, according to reports.

If Perez completed a move to the London Stadium, he would be West Ham's ninth signing of the summer. He left for Fiorentina on loan after that relegation and made that move permanent previous year.
