Lindsay Lohan has been criticised online after posting a video showing her attempting to separate two children from their parents.
The run-in with the family began innocently enough on Friday evening, with the actress hopping out of a auto - it's unclear if she's in Paris or Moscow, as some have said - and telling her viewers about the family. Turning to one of the young sons, Lohan says: "Do you want to stay in a hotel tonight?" They're a Syrian refugee family that I'm really anxious about. She spent a few minutes trying to talk to them, asking them why they're on the street and offering to help get them somewhere they can sleep for the night.
The family appear to grow uncomfortable and get up to leave, but Lohan begins to follow them down the street.
Also, if you were one of the many commentators on the video expressing support for Lohan (which we also can see in the video), you are part of the problem. Addressing the family, Lohan says, "Tell me your story, so I can help you [.] Do you want me to give you a hotel?"
You should not have them [your sons] on the floor, you should be a hard-working woman and you should be doing what you [can] for your children, so they have a better life, . It doesn't matter if you're the number one fan of someone, seeing them behave like this is inexcusable, as is cheering them on. After leaving a club, the Mean Girls star filmed a refugee family, according to Newsweek, and tells her followers, "Look what's happening".
The woman starts talking to the man again, during which Lohan says, "Three seconds, run", and laughs. Lohan follows the family, accusing them of "trafficking children". Now I know who you are. I'll buy you a room.
She scolds them and claims that they are "ruining Arab culture". She continues: "I'm with you boys, don't worry".
"You want to come with me?"
But when the woman refused to let the boys in the vehicle, she started walking away with the children.
After the shocking punch, the video ends with a crying Lohan gasping, "I'm like in shock right now, I'm just like so scared".
The video, in its entirety, is still available on Lohan's account.
People on social media have been quick to condemn Lohan for her actions. Another asked, "Did Lindsay Lohan tried [sic] to take away these kids from their parents?"
