Brie Larson stars as the first-ever solo female superhero in "Captain Marvel", the 21st film in the Marvel universe.
The helmet and mask also simultaneously turns Captain Marvel's hair into a mohawk. The duo will work together to stop an alien invasion from the Kree and Skrulls, and the first teaser trailer for Captain Marvel introduces a similar pager to the one featured in Infinity War. I'm going to stop jabbering now because what I know of Captain Marvel wouldn't fill up the back of the world's smallest postage stamp.
"Truth be told, I was ready to hang it up".
If she's already got her red gloves, she's already Captain Marvel at that point.
After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War, every Marvel Studios fan was waiting for Captain Marvel to turn up and save the day because according to Nick Fury, she was the last line of defence against the menace that is Thanos.
While a new addition to the Captain Marvel mythos, it's not hard to see why Marvel Studios would add this element to Carol's origin. The de-aging process they've applied to Samuel L. Jackson is very impressive.
Is it Carol wearing that helmet we see in the trailer or something else entirely? As suspected she is having troubles remembering the life she had on earth before she got her powers and became the member of the Starforce, an interstellar organisation that is led by Jude Law's still mysterious character. In the trailer, you'll see Carol's Starforce teammates Minn-Erva (Gemma Chan) and Att-Lass (Algenis Perez Soto).
The Kree, if you've forgotten, are the same blue-skinned race of aliens who appear regularly in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, and they represent one of the biggest and most powerful civilizations in the MCU galaxy.
