NFL Releases Statement on Maroon 5 Super Bowl Halftime Show Rumors

After a powerhouse performance from Justin Timberlake in 2018, the National Football League has reportedly tapped Maroon 5 to be the headliners of the 2019Super Bowl Halftime Show.

US Weekly broke the news earlier Wednesday, reporting the band was asked to play and had "pretty much accepted".

An NFL spokesperson refused to confirm or deny whether Maroon 5 will headline the Super Browl LIII halftime show.

This year's Super Bowl will be held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, the home of the Falcons.

While nothing has yet been confirmed, US Weekly notes that the Super Bowl Halftime show has always been an ambition of Maroon 5.

So, of course, fans were not particularly pleased with the Maroon 5 report. Instead, Maroon 5 will perform at halftime, according to a report in Variety.
