The 43-year-old actor was crowned victor of the reality show during the series finale on Monday night (10.09.18) - after he was falsely accused of punching fellow housemate Roxanne Pallett during the series, only for her to admit afterwards she "got it wrong" - and he can not believe the series was only on for three-and-a-half weeks.
Appearing on Channel 5's The Jeremy Vine Show, Thomas said he had not seen the footage of him talking in the diary room before.
"It was totally unexpected", he said.

Coronation Street star Ryan was accused by former Emmerdale actress Roxanne of repeatedly punching her while they were "play fighting". The accusation left Thomas in tears in the Big Brother house.
However despite that, he told Emma, "If this person has an issue and a misunderstanding, who am I to sit there and judge?" "That house, when something happens you can become very isolated but as it unraveled - it was just nice to have your fellow housemates support you".
When asked whether he accepted the apology, Ryan insisted: "Listen I think that Roxanne has been through a lot".
Presenter Emma Willis during the live final of Celebrity Big Brother at Elstree Studios.
"I really don't wanna fuel something I feel Roxanne has gone through without me, you know coming out here, and I feel as if I don't know enough about the outside world to start commenting".
She branded herself "Britain's Most Hated Woman" last week when she sensationally quit the house after falsely accusing "broken man" Ryan - in what came to be known as "Punchgate". During the interview, he still seemed clearly shaken but said that she had been "punished enough" for her actions. "I was just a class clown".
"I was sensitive and emotional and mistook what was playful - I apologise for it, I shouldn't have questioned his motivation".
