Charge your mega buster, because Mega Man is coming to the big screen in a live action adaptation!
The publisher has announced that it is adapting the Mega Man property for a live-action film, rather than an animated property like he has on Cartoon Network.
As for the Blue Bomber, he is enjoying a bit of a renaissance this year.
Mega Man first arrived on the Nintendo Entertainment System back in 1987 (after releasing as Rockman in Japan earlier that year on the Famicom) making the character over 30 years boasting 32 million worldwide sales.
Given the working title "MEGA MAN", the flick will be directed by the minds behind Paranormal Activity 3 and 4's Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman. There have, after all, been various iterations of the character in multiple mediums. The franchise's latest entry, Mega Man 11, is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. Chemin Entertainment, who worked on the Planet of the Apes series, will serve as producer alongside Masi Oka of Heroes fame. It will maintain the "world" of "Mega Man" games, but incorporate the production values and entertainment factors that Hollywood releases are typically known for, according to Capacom.
