There also has been plenty of hype surrounding the new Pixel models, with some truly believing that Google will reveal a "Pixel Ultra" phone equipped with a large, notch-less, and edge-to-edge display. That'll be the day we see both the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL in all their glorious three or more colors up close and personal.
Do you think Google will have any surprises up their sleeves?
We now know the new release is arriving on October 9, as Google has teased an event on that date. For now, it should be noted that activating Active Edge will open up Google Assistant. For the full details, we'll probably have to wait till next week to find out. With Apple's iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max, you had to wait just a little while to place your pre-order but with the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, it is going to be quite different.
Although the Pixel 3 is not mentioned by name, the teaser prominently features the number 3, and the tech giant has also splashed a big 3 up on its website, leaving no-one in any doubt we will see it soon. The pricing of the aforementioned handsets is expected to drop even further as the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL land in India, so stay tuned for that. Both phones will also feature a 12MP single shooter at the back while getting an 8.1MP dual-camera at the front.
Google has played it pretty safe with colors on its Pixel phones, with a bluish Pixel 2 the most daring of its current offerings.
