Pete Davidson Takes Jabs at Kanye West on 'SNL' Amid Pro-Trump Rant

Kanye West to meet with Trump at the White House

The rapper is scheduled to have lunch with the president and also meet his son-in-law Jared Kushner, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed.

West is said to want to discuss the availability of job opportunities for former convicts as well as the number of manufacturing jobs in his home town of Chicago.

"They bullied me backstage".

West later received praised from Trump, who tweeted that he did not watch but heard "Kanye was great".

West has been a vocal supporter of President Trump since his 2016 campaign.

The White House has not said when the visit will take place. "And then told me every time I said I liked Trump that I couldn't say it out loud or my career would be over", West said during a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel.

During his "Saturday Night Live" appearance, West sought to tamp down criticism about his relationship with the president.

He also made several controversial remarks about slavery and shared a picture of himself wearing a baseball cap emblazoned with Trump's Make America Great Again slogan on Twitter, writing alongside the snap: "this represents good and America becoming whole again".

A few hours ago, reports emerged about Kanye planning on meeting with Trump at the White House this Thursday.

"It's habit because for a hundred years, African-Americans have gone with Democrats but now they're changing and they're changing fast and they're coming".

And when Kanye ranted to the crowd at SNL last week about all the good Trump is doing, they were disgusted, it has been claimed.

The 41-year-old rapper deactivated both his Twitter and Instagram accounts over the weekend, and sources have now stated that his decision was influenced by the backlash from his controversial rants he has posted since reviving his Twitter in April, in which he has voiced his support for divisive United States president Donald Trump.
