Also on Friday, the Barron County Sheriff's department released their log of the 911 call.
Fitzgerald told CNN the phone the 911 was made from had been recovered and they had since determined who it belonged to.
Deputies responded to the house where they found James and Denise dead from gunshot wounds. The bureau said it distributed a missing person poster for Jayme Closs to media outlets across the country "out of an abundance of caution".
No gun was found at the scene but autopsies confirmed that Jayme's parents had been fatally shot.
Jayme Closs is 5 feet tall, weighs 100 pounds and has green eyes and blond or strawberry blond hair, the sheriff's department said.
Evidence from both the house and from the 911 call indicate Jayme was in the house when her parents - 46-year-old Denise and 56-year-old James Closs - were killed. Authorities issued an Amber Alert for her on Monday.
He emphasized that people should use the tip line at 1-855-744-3879 if they have any information regarding the case.
The sheriff said that a tip claiming a girl resembling Jayme had been spotted at a gas station in Miami on Monday afternoon was not credible. "She's a great kid who comes from a good family".
Barron County Sheriff's Department held a press conference and shared the video on Facebook.
Those willing to help were asked to wear appropriate clothing for the outdoor search including shoes capable of navigating uneven terrain and bring their own water. They announced that the FBI was assisting in the investigation and providing resources.
Information about the girl, who is believed to be "endangered", has been posted on digital billboards in the US.
"It was just unbelievable, unbelievable. It's unreal", NBC News reported he said.
"We want Jayme to come home safe and unhurt".
Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald hosted a local town hall for Barron County residents only.
"This is to offer me the opportunity to connect with the citizens of Barron County, and have a private dialogue about how our community is doing". Fitzgerald has said that no one from the home spoke with dispatchers, who could hear a disturbance and yelling in the background.
Officials requested the public's help in conducting a "routine search for evidence". We thank the volunteers for their efforts, as the search efforts are still underway.
Police say James and Denise Closs were shot to death in their hometown of about 3,300 people, some 90 miles northeast of Minneapolis, around 1 a.m on Monday.
To date, no member of law enforcement or anyone from the Closs family has indicated that Jayme had some type of boyfriend.
