The selection is limited, but four titles were added today. Three are all-new - NES Open Tournament Golf, Solomon's Key and Super Dodgeball - but one is an interesting twist on an existing title, The Legend of Zelda.
The Legend of Zelda drops players into a mostly open world with little restricting their freedom of exploration except for hard enemies and a few required items.
Fans all across the country have signed up for Nintendo Switch Online to enjoy what the paid service has to offer, including online play in popular multiplayer games; Save Data Cloud backup; a smartphone app for voice chat and other features for supported games; exclusive special offers; and the ability to experience classic NES™ games with added online play.
In this souped-up version of The Legend of Zelda, you'll star with tons of rupees and items!
So it is kind of like giving Zelda a "New Game+" option, but without having to have completed the game first.
The game is subheaded "Living the life of luxury!". If you choose to, you can now start the game with equipment like the White Sword, the Magical Shield, the Blue Ring, and the Power Bracelet, along with lots of buying power to get even more items nice and early into your journey. Besides, after you beat this version of the game for the first time, you will be able to access a second quest that is much more hard. However, upon finishing the game (which should not take long with the given head start) players unlock "Second Quest". Apparently, Nintendo wants to make the game a bit more relaxed for any Zelda noobs who might be playing. We can already see progression-focused games, like Super Mario Bros. You must have a Switch Online subscription to access the games.
