Packers' Cobb ruled out against Lions

Rodgers and King taken off of Packers injury list

Packers' Cobb ruled out with hamstring; Adams questionable | News, Sports, Jobs

Randall Cobb has been ruled out, a hamstring injury sidelining him for the second consecutive week. He said last week he was not close to returning and he also is working with the rehab group.

The Packers special teams handed the Detroit Lions a touchdown early, kicker Mason Crosby missed three field goals, Aaron Rodgers lost two fumbles and the defense allowed a 60-yard catch-and-run from Kenny Golladay during the first 30 minutes, resulting in a 24-0 hole.

Geronimo Allison remains in concussion protocol after taking a hit in Sunday's win over the Buffalo Bills.

The receivers who potentially could be in the lineup on Sunday have a combined two catches for 41 yards and zero touchdowns. Both of these teams have been moving the ball at a similar pace, with Detroit having outgained Green Bay by -37 yards.

-Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook did not practice because of a hamstring injury, and head coach Mike Zimmer expects to list Cook as questionable on Friday's injury report. You have to be able to play through injuries in games, play through injuries in practice, play through injuries that you're able to prepare for.

Cook injured his hamstring in overtime against Green Bay on September 16. Green Bay's depth may be tested this weekend as one or more of the team's three rookie draft choices may be pressed into major roles for the first time in their young National Football League careers. None of the three have been extremely productive over the first four games. He started all 12 games in which he played last season, and Marlon Humphrey has been the starter at corner opposite Carr this season.

Mike McCarthy's team has just one more game to play before the Week 7 bye. Only rookie receivers remained at work. "It's a long season and we're on Game 5, but at the same time, it's a short season, and we're on Game 5".

The Panthers have already ruled him out for Sunday's game against the New York Giants, but Olsen said there is a chance he could play the following week. "Those opportunities are going to come and it's all about just them being ready for them. So, it's trying to be smart on both sides of it, which I struggle with because I play through emotion".
