Raptors' Leonard will not be playing in upcoming National Basketball Association matchup with Bucks

The win sets up a Monday night showdown in Milwaukee with the Toronto Raptors, the league's only other unbeaten team. He was initially diagnosed as having a head contusion and returned to the game. Leonard resting seems to be a maintenance day more than anything, but Antetokounmpo missing Monday's game seems to be a bit more serious, as the Greek Freak was put in the league's concussion protocol on Monday.

Antetokounmpo was evaluated again yesterday and reported new symptoms along with a lingering headache. Ersan Ilyasova will start for Antetokounmpo Monday.

"We're gonna go see and go play him", Nurse said. "But I think we're also excited about how we play and everybody being part of - defensively, offensively everything we do - and hopefully we are positioned or prepared to play with who we got".

Of course, the two teams have something of a history dating back to their six-game playoff series in 2017, but changes have been plentiful on and off the court in the time since. The second-year forward is averaging 7.2 points per game off the bench this season. He missed Toronto's win 117-113 at Washington on October 20 before returning for the Raptors' 127-106 win over visiting Charlotte.

The team announced that forward Kawhi Leonard will sit out against the Milwaukee Bucks. Leonard is healthy, but being rested by the team.

If Leonard is rested again, it is probable that he will return when the Raptors travel to Phoenix to take on the Suns.
