Diablo Immortal revealed for Android and iOS mobile devices

For more information about Diablo Immortal make sure to visit the official website. Footage was shown of online play with six heroes at once, and the graphics looked pretty impressive for mobile (albeit a bit more zoomed in than we're used to).

If you're wondering how the gameplay on a touchscreen will be, don't worry.

The story in Diablo Immortal focuses on the aftermath of the destruction of the Worldstone in Diablo II with demonic invaders trying to bring back a rule of terror.

From the peaceful town of Wortham, to the jungle island of Bilefen and the ancient Library of Zoltun Kulle, each zone in Diablo Immortal has new challenges to master and familiar faces to see. That's already been happening: working with esports players and other community members, Blizzard has been updating the original game with balance tweaks. It's called Diablo Immortal, and despite being a mobile game the company promises that it will be a "full-fledged action RPG". A handsome new cinematic named Lost Honor was also debuted, showing the Alliance leader Anduin making a pact with Saurfang, the Horde's prisoner of war, as they vow to somehow take down Sylvanas.

You can play as one of the six iconic character classes - Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, and Wizard, each with its own unique powers and abilities. His goal is to gather the fragments of the corrupted Worldstone and use them to resurrect Diablo. From those skills, you'll be able to choose five which will be assigned to an active skill button.

At the moment, there's no word of a when the game will release, but Blizzard has confirmed it won't be coming to PC, which also likely means it won't be shipping to consoles either. It may not be the Diablo fans were expecting, but could potentially keep fans entertained until Diablo 4's eventual release.
