The autopsy was performed three days after Miller's death, but the cause of death was deferred while toxicology tests were performed. Police arrested the rapper at his home hours later, and he reportedly registered twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
Miller was discovered unconscious in his home on September 7 and was pronounced dead at 11:51 a.m. after emergency crews arrived.
Miller's male assistant told cops he was not aware of the rapper consuming any alcohol, prescription medication, or drugs the night prior.
Miller's death rocked the music community.
Last week, Miller's friends and collaborations teamed for a charity event, "Mac Miller: A Celebration of Life" took place in Los Angeles.
Miller's death came just months after he split from Ariana Grande and weeks after he was charged with a DUI. She has been honoring him on social media and with her latest single, "Thank u, next". The concert included performances by Anderson.Paak, ScHoolboy Q, Alchemist, Action Bronson, Vince Staples, Chance The Rapper, Earl Sweatshirt, SZA, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla Sign, John Mayer, and Swimming collaborator, Thundercat.
