Your Morning Dump... Where the Nuggets are dominating with defense

The Denver Nuggets' Jamal Murray ended his game vs. the Boston Celtics with 48 points, but attempted a last-second uncontested shot to make it 50.

- Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for throwing a basketball into the stands after a game. "He did it in a great fashion against us", Irving said of Murray's offensive show. He was the primary concern tonight and he made us pay in certain instances of making some tough shots and some tough layups.

"Everybody knew I was trying to go for 50 at that point".

Reaction to Irving's actions and comments have been mixed: Jalen Rose thought the Celtics guard should've anxious more about playing defense, while Max Kellerman thought he was being a poor sport. "I understand if we fouled him, going to the free throw line".

It was a "bullshit move", according to Kyrie Irving, who hurled the ball into the crowd in frustration.

This isn't the first time Murray's landed himself in some hot water at the end of a sure Nuggets win.

Jamal Murray appeared to go for a personal milestone instead of dribbling out the clock against the Boston Celtics.

"I really wasn't meaning no disrespect".

Speaking about it afterward, Irving was still heated about Murray going for 50 when the game was already out of reach. My emotions just took over like it did with the Lakers a year ago. His mind was simply set on going for 50 points.

Murray entered Monday night ranked fourth on the team in points at 15.7 per game.
