"[This demonstrates] that Nintendo has something for everyone this holiday season".

Citing Adobe Analytics, Nintendo said Switch was the "most-purchased item online" on Thanksgiving Day and the overall top-selling video game product online for the Black Friday-Cyber Monday time period. It topped sales of the Nintendo Wii, which was a global phenomenon at its launch, during the same five-day period. The 3-pack normally sells for around $450, and its lowest price in the last year was a drop to $340 during last year's Cyber Monday season. As far as the Tom's Guide staff can tell, this the lowest price a major retailer has ever offered on a brand-new Switch Pro Controller. At that point in the Wii's lifecycle, the system had sold almost 30 million units worldwide.

And Super Mario Odyssey, which came out past year and has already sold 13 million copies to date, continues to climb back up, with a 25th place spot on the charts and a 110 percent increase in sales. It rose to the number ten position in European sales charts, with an increase of 98 percent in sales. And, more importantly, people are buying software to go with it.

Sales of first-party games, including digital downloads, topped 1 million units November 22-26, beating 2017's totals by 78 percent. That means you could use the credit to help pay for games like the upcoming "Super Smash Bros". Ultimate, a popular fighting game.
