Xiaomi launches in Britain with flagship device

Xiaomi Redmi 6 64GB Storage Model Redmi 6 Pro Available on Open Sale in India

Xiaomi Redmi 6 64GB model starts at just Rs. 7,999

Months after we first heard Xiaomi would be coming to the United Kingdom, the brand has just announced it'll be bringing its latest flagship phone to market.

Many UK dwellers have bought Xiaomi products before.

Xiaomi put out a public declaration on their social media channels, speaking about the inflation and the new adjusted prices.

As teased by Xiaomi earlier this week, the new Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite will be finally available in Malaysia starting tomorrow, 10 November 2018.

The same variant of the Mi 8 Pro, which is launched in China, has come to the UK. You can clearly see the NFC sensor, the large carbon-fibre wrapped battery cell and even the Snapdragon chip at the top of the phone.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S comes with a 5.99-inch IPS LCD screen with a premium ceramic design, running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with 6/8 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal storage with no micro SD card slot for additional storage expansion. I have to say, it looks incredibly cool - move over colour gradients, I want a transparent phone! I only had a small amount of time to use the phone at the launch event, but the display looks decent - if not mind-blowing - with relatively punchy colours and a good level of contrast. Xiaomi will be opening a dedicated storefront for its products in the Westfield shopping center in London which not only includes both Mi 8 smartphones, but will also have headphones, computer accessories, and more on hand.

Xiaomi, the world's fourth ranked smartphone maker, entered Britain on Thursday with the worldwide debut of its flagship Mi 8 Pro, which it hopes will win fans in a market dominated by Samsung and Apple.
