Rajinikanth's 2.0 continued its gold rush at the box office with the Hindi version of the film grossing around Rs 18 crore on its second day.
The latest development provides that 2.0 crossed the INR1 billion mark worldwide on its first day. Although the film has declined on Day 2, the biz should gather momentum on Day 3 [Sat] and Day 4 [Sun]... This brings the film's total collection Hindi to about Rs 38.25 crore, showing a minor drop on day-to-day comparison. In TN as a whole, the film has grossed close to 18 CR which is Rajini's 2nd best opener in the state below Kabali, but Shankar's career best. Although the Hindi version is facing a bit of a tumultuous ride at the box office, the Tamil version seems to be getting a lot of takers. This film is a sequel to ' Enthiran', and has collected Rs 64.06 crore nett all over India, which is little more than 50 percent of what "Bahubali - The Conclusion" earned on its first day. Talking about his role at the trailer launch, Akshay said that it'd take him five-six hours to get ready to play his character. Note: "HINDI version", tweeted movie critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
The impressive VFX work, Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's on-screen presence and spectacular performances and a social cause at the core of the film's narrative, makes the film worth a watch.
The Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer would be aiming at a Rs. 100 crore extended weekend and if that happens, it would be a very good sign.
