New Orleans has won just one playoff series since Davis was drafted in 2012 and the Pelicans may miss the playoffs altogether in the stacked Western Conference. In fact, head coach Alvin Gentry said the team is not going to part ways with him "no matter what".
Davis has two seasons remaining on the five-year, $145million extension he signed in June 2015.
Last year, it was all about whether the Celtics would be willing to package enough of their young talent to pry Davis from New Orleans in a trade - even though the Pelicans have been adamant they will not trade their star for anything. "Obviously, it's cool to hear any high-calibre player say they want to play with me".
James exclaimed Tuesday playing with Davis would be "amazing" perhaps in an effort to curry favor with the All-Star forward and push the Lakers to the top of Davis' list. "If we're 15-17, that means I'm not doing my job".
"When that time comes, of course we will see", Davis told ESPN. "But I think any deal Boston would be willing to do they would love to be able to keep Tatum". I love the fans. A partnership between LeBron and Davis has been in the minds of the National Basketball Association ever since Davis chose Rich Paul, James' close friend and agent, as his representation. "I love their food".
