Jay-Z Addresses Kanye, Trump On New Meek Mill Track

Jay-Z, who seldom uses Twitter, went on the platform to clear the air about his verse on a new song. Several of West's social media posts also featured the president's "Make America Great Again" hat, which Jay-Z appears to be referencing at the beginning of the verse. "The line clearly meant don't pit me against my brothers no matter what our differences are (red hat) now go pick up Meek album", Jay said on Twitter.

West wore the MAGA hat, which features President Trump's campaign slogan, multiple times this year as he voiced his support for the president. The beef between Meek Mill and Drake was one of the most interesting beefs of this decade given that the two were friends before that.

But the bigger diss came in the next line, where Jay compared his wife and house to his target's, though it's hard to say whether he's dissing Trump or Ye at this point.

Mill, meanwhile, shared a screen grab of Jay-Z's tweet. Mill was released from prison in April pending a decision from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on his conviction for gun and drug charges.

West rose to fame in the music industry as a producer for Jay-Z's record label. Jay-Z wrote an op-ed in The New York Times, calling the rapper's sentence "just one example of how our criminal justice system entraps and harasses hundreds of thousands of black people every day".
