Samsung Galaxy A8s gets Wi-Fi Alliance certification ahead of launch

Verizon Communications Inc and Samsung Electronics Co Ltd on Monday confirmed long-held industry expectations they would seek to steal a march on Apple Inc by launching United States 5G smartphones in the first half of 2019. The backdrop of this launch, as it is rumoured, is based on Huawei's wish to compete with Samsung's Galaxy A8s launch. The company has released the poster of the smartphone mentioning the launch date as well as background of the Galaxy and captioning it as "Real Galaxy". This implementation of the front-facing camera allows for an all-front display, minus the little hole in the corner, of course. The Samsung Galaxy A8s was recently also certified at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States hinting that the handset also be launched in the U.S. soon.

Samsung recently teased its all new Galaxy A8s that it will completely unveil next week on December 10.

The Samsung Galaxy A8s will likely be released in China first prior to making a worldwide debut. The O-shaped camera hole replaces the notch, and it's a lot easier on the eyes than any notch out there.

Huawei Nova 4 is speculated to come equipped with an LCD display. From some of the leaked images, it seems that Nova 4 will support a headphone jack, the phone is expected to have premium mid-range like specs, hence there is a possibility of a Kirin 980 processor.

Coming to the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy A8s is expected to feature a triple camera setup at the back consisting a 24-megapixel primary camera, a 10-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel camera. With a small hole at the corner, this approach offers a less obstructive full-screen experience compared to a notched display, especially while playing videos. 24 and 2-megapixel cameras may be included on the front side of the device, while pretty much everyone is expecting to see Android 9 Pie pre-installed on this smartphone.

Supposedly, the gadget will be equipped with a 6.4-inch screen, Exynos or Snapdragon 9810 8150 and 6/8 GB of RAM. The device will also include a large battery, we still don't know what unit will it sport exactly, but chances are its capacity will be somewhere between 3,700 and 4,000mAh.
