Ubisoft teases new post-apocalyptic Far Cry

Post-apocalyptic Far Cry to be unveiled tomorrow

Post-Apocalyptic Far Cry Teased By Ubisoft, Reveal Coming Thursday

It's being speculated based on the visual effects as well as thumbnail above that this game would be set in a post apocalyptic Hope County.

Far Cry 5 released in March to positive reviews.

Something to look forward to: Fans of Ubisoft's Far Cry series will be pleased to hear that the company is already working on the franchise's latest entry, and it could be fully revealed at The Game Awards tomorrow.

But anyway, enjoy the teaser trailer and stay tuned for more!

So yeah, a Far Cry spin-off or perhaps sequel seems to be on the horizon. In the interim, Ubisoft has published a brief teaser giving us a glimpse of the game's post-apocalyptic theme. In the meantime: did you play Far Cry 5?

Far Cry fans will instantly realise that not only does the initial setting seem to be the same as Far Cry 5 but that the game had a surprise ending where the religious cult set off a nuclear attack.

Interesting stuff! The bucolic country setting seen at the beginning of the trailer strongly suggests the next Far Cry will take place on an atom-bomb-altered version of Far Cry 5's Montana map. And with the show's composer confirming that ten new games will be revealed during the event - and with Nintendo also coyly tweeting about the Awards - it's certainly shaping up to be a show that gamers won't want to miss.
