Prince William, visiting the London Air Ambulance service at Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, looked surprised when two youngsters handed him a home-made card to celebrate the Duchess of Cambridge's 37th birthday. Although three-year-old Charlotte will be busy at nursery, Kate will surely have lots to tell her about the day when they get home.

The siblings were the children of Yair Shaahar, who received care from the London Air Ambulance after he was knocked off his bicycle in Enfield on 7th April 2016.

2014: According to Hello, Middleton spent her first birthday as a mother at the Norfolk home she and William raised the young Prince in.

But when quizzed about what he had given his wife as a gift, he laughed off the question.

The 36-year-old worked as an air ambulance pilot from 2015-2017 with the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

"She'd already had it the week before at Kensington Palace, as ludicrous as that might have been", the expert continued.

2013: Pregnant with her first child, Prince George, Middleton celebrated 31 with a performance by Cirque du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall. Talking about his son's fondness for dancing, Prince William previously said: "George is doing dancing as well, he loves it".

The duchess was born in Reading on 9 January 1982, to Carole and Michael Middleton.

At the age of 13, she went to the exclusive, private Marlborough College in Wiltshire, where she part-boarded.

2007: A few years later, Kate was confronted by a media circus on her 25th birthday.

During her time there, she represented the college at tennis, hockey and netball.

The duchess-to-be met and began dating William while studying art history at St Andrew's University, where she studied history of art. She will likely pick the children up from school later in the day.
