The Savages say they haven't heard from Joycelyn in two years. Families who have tried to rescue their daughters whom they say Kelly has taken captive also appeared in the series.
Griggs told FOX 5 News that in the past few days, very senior members of the D.A.'s office have contacted Griggs regarding witness information in the case. A spokeswoman for the prosecutor's office said both women have been missing for three to four years.
There has been no official word from the Fulton County District Attorney's Office.
Foxx addressed reporters Tuesday after her office had been inundated with calls about abuse allegations in Lifetime's "Surviving R. Kelly" documentary series. Everyone needs to watch this series but where can we watch? "I was sickened as a survivor, I was sickened as a mother, I was sickened as a prosecutor". One accuser said Kelly forced her to have an abortion.
"In order to have an investigation. we have to have victims and witnesses who are willing to come forth with whatever information that they have", Foxx said.
R. Kelly has been under investigation before - for child pornography, STD transmission and other crimes - with mixed results, but this time somehow feels different. Most infamously, Kelly was charged with child pornography in 2000 after the aforementioned video surfaced (Kelly was cleared in 2008 after that woman declined to testify against him). Kelly and the alleged victim, in her 20s at the time of the trial, denied it was them in the video. She said she wanted to tell her story for a long time. "No one has found any sex slaves or underage girls because there aren't any".
Despite the accusations that span decades, the star singer, songwriter and producer who rose from poverty on Chicago's South Side has retained a sizable following.

On Tuesday, Foxx said her office has been in touch with two Chicago-area families who have lost touch with relatives - both women over 18 - who the families claim were coerced by Kelly into staying with him. Russell reportedly said the Savages were providing "false information" for the documentary.
