Tonight's Mega Millions grand prize has climbed to $425 Million, making it the eighth-largest lottery prize in US history.
A lucky victor could kick off the New Year with a big payday.
No one walked away with the grand prize on December 28. Last Friday's winning numbers were 9, 10, 25, 37 and 38 and the gold Mega Ball was 21.
At 1 in 302.5 million, the odds of winning are astronomical.

It's not quite the $1.6 billion jackpot paid out in October, but it's not chump change. A chance at a new life will only cost you $2. The jackpot offers a $425 million annuity, or $254.6 million in cash, according to the NC Education Lottery website.
