The character was unnamed in the comic, but she quickly gained the name Bowsette and Nintendo fanboys everywhere developed an obsession. This isn't new from Nintendo as the company has provided handicap options for players needing an extra helping hand such as Super Kong in Donkey Kong Country Returns and the Silver Tanooki Suit in Super Mario 3D Land.
This Super Crown item was what sparked the conversation around Bowsette, as when fans heard Toadette and Peach could form a new character, they soon asked why couldn't Bowser and Peach do the same?
Sadly, the item has been restricted to Toadette, though Nintendo could potentially revisit the idea in future titles. U Deluxe called the Super Crown, which turns Toadette into Peachette, who looks nearly exactly like Princess Peach except with a Toadette aesthetic spin. The possibilities really would be endless.
The information comes from Nintendo themselves on the official New Super Mario Bros. That's right, Peachette is the only transformation the Super Crown will be able to achieve. U Deluxe would be coming to the Nintendo Switch on January 11 of this year, revealing that Toadette could use a new item called a Super Crown to become Peachette; a Peach character with Toadette features.
Though Nintendo has responded to fan demands before (mainly in Smash Bros), making an Internet fan creation canon would certainly be new territory. U Deluxe on Nintendo Switch. But there we have it. Bowsette is not canon and probably never will be.
