Eden Hazard On Gonzalo Higuain: We Can Do Something Great Together

Sarri: Higuain keen to prove himself again

CE Eden Hazard hints at Chelsea stay

Hazard was deployed as a "false nine" in December when Chelsea beat City 2-0, ending a 21-game unbeaten league run for Pep Guardiola's side, but Higuain is likely to be the attacking focal point on Sunday. Though the rest of the team essentially picks itself ahead of today's game, he faces a really hard decision in choosing which of the three will start.

Sarri has openly criticized his players for their lacklustre performances in recent weeks, claiming they are hard to motivate.

And, in an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, Higuain is confident Sarri could help him rekindle that form in the Premier League.

Amid his highly-talked transfer speculation, Eden Hazard believes he and his Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri has the same football wavelength.

When told that Higuain has described him as a father figure, Sarri joked: 'I hope I am the football father! Sarri joked. "I don't know the mother of Gonzalo".

Speaking to The Times, Hazard has now hinted that his long-term future could remain with the Blues, given he is content with the progress made under manager Maurizio Sarri. "I know him well, he knows me well".

"Managers like Mourinho, Conte, now with Sarri want me to score 40, 50 goals a season but can I do that? And so, he has to decide".

The Blues are facing a battle to secure a place in the Champions League after coming under pressure from Arsenal and Manchester United.

From every indication, Eden Hazard's mind has been made up especially now that he has come out to rule himself as someone who can not meet with the demands of the club. "No more, I think".

"It's a lot", said boss Sarri.

The Chelsea star said "We are still learning about his concept".

"He is the father of our football, of the football of Guardiola, of my football". They speak the same language with the ball, and so I think Gonzalo will be very important for us for this.
