Microsoft appear to have solved Xbox One's 'Black Screen' bug

In what has to be a significant blow for anyone who chose to take the day off to avoid the cold, Microsoft is now dealing with a serious Xbox Live issue that is making it impossible for many Xbox One owners to use their consoles at all. Then, on February 16, Super Bomberman R and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy can be downloaded at no cost.

In addition to this, other users are seemingly unable to sign in to Xbox Live, preventing access to some games and online multiplayer. It doesn't matter if you're still an Xbox Live Gold subscriber. According to the Xbox Live Status page, the online service is seeing a large hit to their Live Core Services.

"The issues surrounding Xbox One console startup, sign-in, title update errors, and our status page have now been resolved", says Xbox Support. We'll update here when we have more to provide.

But, many users remained unable to play Live for almost an hour after.

Unfortunately, no timetable for a fix has been shared, so there's no telling when Xbox One owners will be able to get on their consoles again.

Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X consoles are crashing on startup.

'We will keep everyone informed once we have more information to share.

The news comes after on Wednesday Xbox Live again went down for thousands of gamers.

Of course, issues involving buying games from the store aren't quite as critical as login problems, but looking at the replies to Xbox Support's tweet, it seems like even that login issue isn't fully resolved.
