While Beckham seems to be enjoying his offseason in sunny California, he's more than used to frigid winters. On Friday, March 8, the Browns traded guard Kevin Zeitler to the Giants for edge rusher Olivier Vernon.

The Giants have eight wins over the last two seasons while the Browns' seven wins a year ago with rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield had people thinking about a future postseason trip. However, seeing what the Browns reportedly gave up (Jabril Peppers, a first round pick and a third-round pick), would Broncos fans have wanted to see that? With Baker Mayfield under center, Beckham could see an uptick in production; it's certainly an improvement on what he had in NY with Eli Manning throwing him the ball. And after one year into said deal, he's traded.

The move has stunned the National Football League world, and Garrett believes it can provide an upturn in the Browns' fortunes. They were looking to improve their offensive line, get some pass rushers and shore up the defense, which struggled in coordinator James Bettcher's switch to a 3-4 front.

Kimberly Jones of NFL Media spoke with Beckham following the trade, who said he was "trying to process it", while calling the trade "bittersweet".

Complicating the situation: The Giants haven't figured out their quarterback situation.

New Jersey online sportsbook PointsBet was one of the few sportsbooks that elected not to change the Browns' odds to win the Super Bowl, keeping them at 30-1. A first-round pick in 2017, he struggled as a rookie but bounced back and played well last season.
