As previously rumored, Beats earlier today officially unveiled a brand new pair of wireless Powerbeats headphones with an AirPods-inspired design. Just like it's traditional wired counterpart, the Powerbeats Pro earbuds are intended for athletes and are sweat-resistant.
With respect to battery life, each individual earbud offers up 9 hours of playback and "more than 24 hours of combined playback with the magnetic closure case". The Fast Fuel feature should give you around one and a half hour's charge in just five minutes and four and a half hours in just 15 minutes. The earbuds sport an in-ear, hooked design that Beats fans will recognize from the Powerbeats 3. Otherwise known as bilateral charging, the two-way wireless charging will allow the QI-based iPhones charge another iPhone or AirPods with a wireless charging case. "Powerbeats are already the #1 fitness headphones in the world and they are now untethered, with all the benefits of the Apple H1 chip", said Luke Wood, president of Beats. Unfortunately, they are making the grave mistake of talking up Powerbeats at the expense of Apple's own product.
Powerbeats Pro will come in Black, Ivory, Moss and Navy for $349.95 AUD. There's no information available on India availability yet. He claims Apple's least expensive Face ID-equipped iPhone will get a battery boost between 0 and 5 percent.
Also, the H1 chip means that the Powerbeats Pro headphones can be controlled with "Hey Siri" commands.
So, who should get AirPods 2?
Based on similar setups found in current Samsung, LG, and Huawei phones, I'd expect Apple's new triple camera setup to consist of a main wide-angle camera, an ultra-wide angle lens for shooting things like landscapes, and a zoom lens similar to the 2x telephoto setup you get on current iPhones. They power on when taken out of the case and power off when placed back inside (they don't have an actual power button, so don't lose that case).
The two focus areas for the Powerbeats Pro earphones are sound and fit, two areas that most users care about.
