Arguably one of the biggest moments of last night's Game of Thrones was Arya Stark's surprise sex scene with her childhood friend Gendry (played by Joe Dempsie). The third installment in Thrones' final chapter, episode 3 doesn't have a publicly released title just yet, but this footage tells fans all they need to know for the time being: the Night King and his pack of vicious, unfeeling White Walkers have made it to the grounds of Winterfell and are about to begin battling the humans in a life-or-death, all-or-nothing fight.

"David and Dan were like: 'You can show as much or as little as you want.' So I kept myself pretty private", she told Entertainment Weekly. "But I turned to the producers and said, 'I don't want to do 11 weeks of night shoots and no one else does". If it really was a burning Winterfell we saw Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen staring at, this means the living will lose this battle and retreat further south (and we may witness some major deaths). This beat isn't really about that.

Meanwhile, the latest episode also saw Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) do something rather unexpected.

"The most heroic thing we can do is look the truth in the face", says Sansa in the preview for next week's episode of Game of Thrones. By the end we're rushing to finish the scene and David is going, "Okay, you're going to come in and do this and do that and, great, take your top off" - and then walked off. With that, it was off to the races: Arya began to kiss Gendry while stripping off her clothes (but not his because he can do that for himself). "No one wants to make you feel uncomfortable which kind of makes you feel more uncomfortable, because no one wants to look at anything that they shouldn't look at, which in turn makes you feel like you look very bad because everyone is kind of like", Williams averted her eyes here. "'Okay. Let's do it'". The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones is getting juicier and more flame-broiled as the popular fantasy series rolls along.
