The Penguins were humbled once again by the Islanders, this time in a 4-1 decision at PPG Paints Arena on Sunday, giving NY a 3-0 series advantage.

Brock Nelson added his second goal of the playoffs and Leo Komarov scored the first postseason goal of his career for the Islanders, who have pushed the star-laden Penguins to the brink of elimination.

The Penguins, who won the Stanley Cup in 2016 and 2017, continued to be thwarted by the Islanders' stifling pressure and the play of goaltender Robin Lehner, who made 25 saves Sunday.

Almost six years after winning the French Open Juniors title, the 22-year-old Garin finally broke through on the tour, spoiling Ruud's bid to become the first Norwegian victor.

"You've got to find ways to score goals this time of year", Crosby said. And now the team assembled by Lou Lamoriello and expertly coached by Barry Trotz has a chance to complete the sweep with a win in Game 4 here on Tuesday night.

The officiating in this first-round series between the Penguins and Islanders has been pretty bad thus far. But the Islanders needed only 28 seconds to answer back, a sharp-angle shot from the red-hot Jordan Eberle that hit the out-of-position Matt Murray and in went in to tie it, 1-1.

The 28-year-old's first-period marker represented the equalizer after the Penguins had taken an early lead. The Islanders defeated the Penguins 3-1. Look for the Penguins to get a game back this afternoon.

NOTES: Four teams have rallied from 3-0 deficits to win a best-of-seven series, including a victory by the Islanders over the Penguins in 1975.
