Final Fantasy 7 Remake Release Date: When Is It Coming Out?

State of Play: Final Fantasy VII Remake Returns with New Gameplay, More to Come at E3

Final Fantasy VII Remake Finally Re-Revealed With New Trailer; More to Come in June

Just in case you were somehow holding out hope that the Final Fantasy VII Remake wasn't going to be episodic anymore, Square Enix has dashed your hopes again.

Square Enix has reiterated that yes, Final Fantasy 7 Remake is still episodic in nature.

Despite the fact that it was announced as episodic after its reveal, and there's been a bunch of shuffling around as personnel, some folks thought that the game would somehow now be released as one complete work. We get to see some combat as well as some cutscene clips. During Sony's State of Play presentation on Thursday, they finally dropped another glimpse at the long in development title.

KitGuru Says: Final Fantasy VII Remake is looking great so far.

Final Fantasy 7 is now 21 years old, and fan interest in a remake has not shown any signs of subsiding. The game was originally planned to come first on Playstation 4 and then on the PC. "Most of the plans are already in place in the run up to launch, so please bear with us a little longer until we can release more information next month", the message read. According to Siliconera, the press release reaffirms that the remake will be a "multi-part production", and that more information about the game will be revealed in June, presumably during Square Enix's E3 press conference.
