These are Season 9's equivalent of last season's Discovery challenges, and they can only be completing by finishing all seven challenges from a given week. Season 9 is all about the future, and that means sci-fi tech, robotic wings, and space suits all around. A lot has changed today with the release of update v9.00 for Fortnite, which ushered in Season 9 of the popular battle royale game.
After the events of Season 8 finally razed iconic and strategic "Fortnite" location Tilted Towers, a new and shiny Neo Tilted has risen in its place, with a slick Mega Mall shopping complex standing where Retail Row once was.
You'll also find new areas to explore, such as Neo Tilted (because of course Tilted is fine and well) and Mega Mall.
Fortnite's Season 9 battle pass is available now for 950 v-bucks ($9.50) and includes 100 levels and over 100 new rewards. Same futuristic look with the addition of Slipstreams. Both locations have new gameplay additions as well, including Slipstreams and Air Vents. A semi-automatic combat shotgun has been added to the game, too. Several other weapons, items and throwables were also vaulted including Clingers, Buried Treasure, Poison Dart Trap, Scoped Revolver, Suppressed Assault Rifle, Thermal Assault Rifle and Balloons.
At tier 100, the Vendetta outfit will be unlocked.
The Fortnite season 9 Battle Pass brings with it 100 levels to unlock as well as more than 100 rewards.
Fortbytes are a new type of variety activity with mixed challenges for Season 9 Battle Pass owners. Collecting all of the Fortbytes unlock rewards, and they can not be collected once Season 9 ends. Collecting these items will piece together an image that hints at what's in store for Fortnite season 10.
One of the new features sure to catch your eye from the get-go is the new transportation system.
