Huawei's Honor presents Honor 20, 20 Pro smartphones

Honor 20 Series Launch Live Updates New Honor Flagship Phones to Be Unveiled Today

Honor 20 Series launch will start at 6:30pm IST

However, which one of them is better?

However, despite Huawei's Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro launhin to rave reviews and reception, the smartphone may fail to launch after all. The Huawei's sub-brand latest launches bring new technologies and better camera proposition. It is most likely that a U.S. release will not take place, especially after Google's ban for Huawei devices. Support for external mics is missing in older OnePlus phones including OnePlus 6T, 6 and 5T. Moreover, you will not distinguish between the two smartphones with a first glance.

The HONOR 20 Series also sends shock-waves across the industry by the innovation of AIS Super Night mode and the industry's largest F1.4 aperture. Neither has a notch but the Honor 20 Pro does have a punch-hole cutout. Well, we have made a list of some of the most important aspects that need to be addressed.

Despite its parent Huawei now being faced with a very hard time, following the trade ban imposed by the U.S government and Google cutting ties with it, Honor hasn't delayed the launch of its latest flagship lineup - the Honor 20 series.

The new HONOR 20 series come with a 6.26-inch all-view display with a 91.7 per cent screen-to-body ratio.

The HONOR 20 Series redefines the user experience by becoming the first product in HONOR's history to introduce a multi-dimensional, Dynamic Holographic glassback.

All things being equal, however, we have to award the blue ribbon to the OnePlus 7 Pro. The secondary one is a 16-megapixel ultra wide angle camera, followed by an 8-megapixel telephoto camera, and a 2-megapixel sensor to add macro details to photos.

As for the front-facing camera, it functions via a 4.5mm hole punch in the phones' displays and uses a 32MP lens f/2.0 lens.

The OnePlus 7 is equipped with a dual-camera setup with a combination of a 48-megapixel sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The other sensors include a 16MP secondary ultra wide-angle lens, a 2MP third sensor for 4cm macro mode and a 2MP depth sensor.

Inside both phones is a 7nm Kirin 980 chip, which is found in Huawei's other, higher-priced flagship device the P30, so you can expect some excellent performance.

The Honor 20 will retail for EUR499 (RM2,324) for a memory configuration of 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. However, the chipset seems to be a bit less powerful as compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset present in the OnePlus 7. Although OnePlus 7 Pro is already on sale in most of the markets around the world, OnePlus 7 will be available next month. They each run Android 9 Pie with Honor's Magic UI on top which is totally fine, but what isn't is lack of Google support.

The HONOR 20 LITE is now available in the United Kingdom for £249.99 at Carphone Warehouse, Amazon, Argos, John Lewis and Very. Hopefully that won't change during the OnePlus 7 Pro's lifetime. These specs are pretty sweet, but it's what's on the back of the phones that's the most notable. The India launch of the smartphones is expected on June 11. The most expensive handset among the three new ones announced yesterday is the Honor 20 Pro which will retail for Euro 599.

Powering the Honor 20 is a slightly smaller 3,750mAh battery that charges via USB-C. The competition is quite tough in this department as both the phones are loaded with similar battery hardware. The 22.5W SuperCharge will help you fill it up quickly (50% in 30 minutes).

Francisco Jeronimo, associate vice-president for devices at IDC, said Honor had been successful for Huawei with an appeal that went way beyond the young customer they were targeting.
