John Wick will be back in two years.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that a text message was sent to fans of the latest film, stating: "You have served".
The news follows the release of John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, which opened in theaters Friday.
Keanu Reeves is a swell dude (and our best current movie action star).
Aside from being incredibly popular with fans, the third film has also been a critical favourite and it now has a 88% "fresh" score on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie sees Reeves return as a former hitman on the run from assassins. John Wick: Chapter 3 also stars Ian McShane, Lawrence Fishburne, Anelica Huston, Jason Mantzoukas, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tiger Hu Chen, and Yayan Ruhian. Stuntman-turned-director Chad Stahelski helmed the movie, written by series creator Derek Kolstad.
There's a $14 million bounty on his head and an army of killers on his trail. Also starring Halle Berry, 52, Laurence Fishburne, Angelica Huston, and Ian McShane, the action follows ex-hitman Wick as he goes on the run after killing a member of the worldwide assassin's guild.
Until that possible dream reunion, fans can see Reeves shoot up baddies in John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum, out now, or playing himself in the upcoming Netflix romantic comedy Always Be My Maybe, in which Reeves plays a comedic, fictional version of himself. It joins "DC Super-Pets" on the date.
