Manny Pacquiao vs. Keith Thurman set for July 20th

Eight-division world champion and reigning WBA (Regular) Welterweight World Champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao of the Philippines will be returning to the ring later this year.

"The summer just got a little hotter", said Pacquiao as he tweeted their fight poster.

Manny Pacquiao's second fight with Premier Boxing Champions has officially been set. Kindly refresh the page for updates.

However, PBC wanted to make the announcement to a wide audience on a nationally televised card and got things squared away in recent days, according to Sean Gibbons, one of Pacquiao's close advisers.

The unbeaten Thurman's career was interrupted by elbow surgery following his split-decision defeat of Philadelphia's Danny Garcia (35-2, 21 KOs) in their 12-round welterweight title unification fight in March 2017 at Barclays Center. Thurman (29-0, 22 KOs) holds the super champ version of the WBA welterweight title.

The July 20 bout will represent the sixth time Thurman will have defended his WBA title.

"Manny Pacquiao is not going to be here for the years to come".

Plant (18-0, 10 KOs), 26, who resides in Las Vegas, won a 168-pound world title by unanimous decision against Jose Uzcategui on January 13 in Los Angeles in a fight in which Plant scored two knockdowns.

Will the great Pacquiao be able to do it, same as he did to the now-retired Lucas Matthysse (39-5, 26 KO's) last July in Malaysia?

Pacquiao, 40, most recently fought on January 19, where he beat Adrian Broner in a 12-round fight in Las Vegas.
