Finnish company HMD Global, which makes Nokia smartphones, on Tuesday launched its budget Nokia 4.2 in India for Rs 10,990 with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It will be available across retail outlets and partner stores such as Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C and MyG starting 14th May. Also, Vodafone Idea subscribers will be receiving an instant cashback of Rs. 2,500 in terms of 50 vouchers of Rs. 50 each. While the company announced the Nokia 4.2 in 2GB and 3GB RAM variants with 16GB and 32GB of internal storage respectively, the company only launched the 3GB RAM variant in India.
If you're looking for a flagship device that also doubles as a photographer's Swiss knife, you're in luck, as Nokia's high-end 9 PureView just dropped to $600, $100 off its original MSRP. It has all the usual buttons, plus an additional dedicated Google Assistant button, and like recent Nokia phones, the power button acts as the notification LED. The company will also offer its users a complementary screen replacement for up to six months. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the back.
The Nokia 4.2 comes with a 5.71-inch HD+ (720×1520 pixels) IPS LCD display and like most Nokia phones, the 4.2 comes with a premium design. The memory can be further expanded with the help of a dedicated microSD card slot. This consists of a 13-megapixel f/2.2 primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery and only comes with a 5V/2A (10W) power adapter. The Nokia 4.2 is another Android One phone from Nokia and comes with stock Android 9 Pie on board with a few additional features like face unlock.
Nokia 4.2 has finally been launched in the Indian market. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE support, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, FM Radio, and GPS, AGPS, and GLONASS.
