OnePlus 7 Pro will have some added features and upgraded hardware. It's possible OnePlus will also lean into this selling point to differentiate the OnePlus 7 from the feature-packed, pricier OnePlus 7 Pro at the launch event on May 14. Last year, OnePlus introduced the OnePlus 6 at a starting price of INR 34,999 in the country.
A report by GSMArena states that it is great that OnePlus is finally deciding to change its design policy of releasing two black variants as well as embrace some more colour.
To the front we see a beautifully curved screen that's practically bezel-less, except for the super slim chin that's believed to come with a 90Hz refresh rate. There's no fingerprint scanner at the back which hints at the presence of an in-display scanner. So it certainly makes sense that the upcoming OnePlus 7 will be priced closer to the INR 40,000 mark. Both will use AMOLED panels, a flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 system-on-a-chip, a 48MP primary camera with a secondary telephoto lens, an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, and 30W Warp Charging, which debuted in the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition past year.
Ishan Agarwal, a prolific tipster who has quite a track record when it comes to OnePlus leaks, has tweeted the apparent Indian pricing of the OnePlus 7 Pro.
The former is expected to be an incremental upgrade over the OnePlus 6T thanks to its rumoured similar build and screen size. The leaks claim that OnePlus 7 will have dual rear camera setup with 48-megapixel shooter and a telephoto camera with 3x zoom. In terms of specifications, OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro are rumored to feature a 6.2-inch and 6.64-inch AMOLED display.
