Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba should not have engaged with fans following the 2-0 home defeat by relegated Cardiff City, says former England striker Alan Shearer.

Manchester United's failure in not qualifying for the Champions League means that they will not get the higher commercial gains that come with playing in the Champions League.

According to Fox Sports, the Old Trafford outlet has already set a price tag of 150 million pounds on the World Cup victor and would be willing to sell his services to Real Madrid during the summer.

"About Manchester United, I want to say only two things", Mourinho told L'Equipe.

"It's a little bit the same thing as what football academies can make with players I think it's a natural knowledge and understanding of the game".

According to The Sun, while goal incentive schemes are normal in most clubs, the pay disparity that excludes Pogba and Sanchez from the rest of the squad has created divisions in the locker room.

I don't talk for Paul, whether he stays or leaves, but when you have negativity around you, you should leave. I know you can question his leadership and in the last few games you want more, so that's why you can criticise him right now, but overall he has been the best player this season.

"With Karim, there was no conflict - I only wanted to help the player, who is incredibly talented - to change his mentality, to help him reach his maximum", he said.

And he insists United's shortcomings are not the fault of the 25-year-old, despite reports suggesting he has a negative impact behind closed doors.

Evra also thinks Pogba will leave the club this summer.

"I do not always do my analysis publicly on Manchester United".

And simply put, the Frenchman hasn't had the influence that the Manchester United management and fans had hoped for when United paid a record transfer fee to sign him.

"It's either the money or he wanted to be the number one, take the No.7 shirt and be the star".
