Black Mirror made everyone talk with their creative and innovative made-for-Netflix movie, Bandersnatch. The upcoming fifth season, which marks the third full season to premiere exclusively on Netflix, is going back to the United Kingdom version's truncated episode length. Black Mirror is one of the best shows on TV, and I don't think it gets enough hype.
Andrew Scott - who plays Sherlock's main antagonist, Jim Moriarty - is played out to hold a main character role too, as well as Anthony Mackie, who is joined in the season by one of his more-recent Avengers co-stars, Pom Klementieff.
Black Mirror, created and run by Charlie Brooker and Annabel Jones, is officially scheduled to drop all of its fifth season episodes on Netflix on June 5. And then there's that sequence right at the end, which promises us a Mortal Kombat-esque video game done through the space of immersive virtual reality.
According to the streaming giant, these trio of chapters tell "stories about the future we should have seen coming" - which is exactly the kind of super-creepy statement viewers should expect to come from Netflix re: Black Mirror.
Synopsis:Featuring stand-alone dramas - sharp, suspenseful, satirical tales that explore techno-paranoia - Black Mirror is a contemporary reworking of The Twilight Zone with stories that tap into the collective unease about the modern world.
