Build-A-Bear Workshop is bringing back its "Pay Your Age Day" but changes have been made to avoid last year's chaos.

More people than expected turned out at stores for the deal, creating massively long lines. But this year, the company has come up with a way to control crowds.

Each ticket is valid for one stuffed animal per child present, with a maximum of two stuffed animals per ticket. So, if your child is 3 years old, you'll pay $3 for their brand new furry friend. According to Business Insider, more than 500,000 people visited the store on July 12, 2018, prompting all stores to close early due to safety concerns.

Hopeful participants have until Sunday to sign in to or make a Bonus Club Member account and fill out a "birthday profile", which will allow them to enter the contest, the company said.

Now, rather than simply showing up on a given day and waiting in a massive line, Build-A-Bear has a three-step process for a chance to pay your age for one of the stuffed bears.

A total of 200,000 guests worldwide will receive a ticket.

"Additionally, ten Guests will win the Count Your Candles Sweepstakes grand prize of a birthday party experience to use any time in the next twelve months valued up to $250", it explained. Build-A-Bear at the time said it had to cut off lines at its USA stores after local authorities required outlets around the country to limit crowd sizes.

If you want a chance to win, you'd better hurry, because you only have until June 16.

Becoming a Bonus Club Member is free and will give you access to special offers, unique events and a chance to earn points towards valuable rewards.
