Priyanka Chopra's father had been suffering from cancer since 2008 and he died on June 10, 2013. In 2017, Priyanka Chopra produced a Punjabi film, titled Sarvann, in which she used Dr Ashok Chopra's rendition of Mittar Pyaare Nu, one of the Shabads by Guru Gobind Singh.

While Priyanka's husband Nick Jonas simply commenting with a red heart emoji, her father-in-law Kevin Jonas Sr. replied with a touching message.

"Seems Like just yesterday we lost you.", she wrote in the post along with the picture of her father looking out for her as a young Priyanka climbed on the branches of a tree.

He said: "All our love sweet Daughter-in-Law. I miss you Dad, Inexplicably". "Noting can replace such a special man but we are here to surround your heart with love and support", he wrote. Previous year in August, the "Bajirao Mastani" actor celebrated her late father's birthday with her mother Madhu Chopra.

A year before his death, in 2012, the 36-year-old actress had got a tattoo reading "Daddy's lil girl" inked in his handwriting on her wrist. She captioned the picture, "6 years". "Happy birthday. Always and forever".

Priyanka Chopra is back in the bay as she is spending time with her family which includes her cousin Parineeti Chopra too.

"I want to change the world a little bit", she told InStyle. I want my existence to have meant something. Significant others prove to be a reoccurring theme in their latest album, with songs "Hesitate" and "I Believe" written about Turner and Chopra respectively.
