The bakery, however, apparently heard "marijuana".

A Georgia woman was shocked when she picked up her daughter's birthday cake to find a marijuana-themed cake instead of Moana-themed.

Kensli Davis of Milledgeville said her mother ordered the cake from Dairy Queen and asked for the decoration to be inspired by Moana, the 25-year-old's favorite Disney cartoon.

Previously, a mum baked a cake for her daughter's 14th birthday - only to realise it resembles something very rude.

Kensli ended up blowing out the candles on a cake emblazoned with a giant cannabis leaf, green and white icing, and a My Little Pony character complete with bloodshot eyes and a joint protruding from its muzzle.

Davis learned that the curious design was a miscommunication: Her mom had requested for the Polynesian Disney princess Moana, which was misheard as marijuana.

"So my mama called and ordered me a cake telling them how much I loved Moana", Davis wrote. "I'll just get a regular ice cream cake if I have to", Davis said.

Needless to say, the results quickly went viral, being shared more than 12,000 times.

"I think they thought that she said "marijuana" because we are from south Georgia and kind of have an accent".
