Harnessing the all-new RDNA architecture, support for PCIe 4.0, and 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, the Radeon RX 5700 Series graphics cards raise the bar for 1440p gaming experiences, providing stunning visual fidelity and highly responsive gameplay.
AMD shaved $50 off the price of both 5700 XT models, and trimmed a modest $30 off the MSRP of the 5700. Meanwhile, the Radeon RX 5700 XT has dropped from $450 to $400, while the base Radeon RX 5700 will now cost $350 instead of $380. "As you have seen, competition is heating up in the GPU market", AMD said.
Team Lisa su has made a decision to reconsider recommended prices of Radeon RX and RX 5700 5700 XT on the eve of their release.
AMD has released a brand new driver for its graphics cards. Due to release on July 7, the price cut appears to be in reaction to Nvidia announcing their RTX Super cards this week. AMD's new Radeon RX 5700 XT was not good enough for $449, and even $399 is expensive - especially compared to the competitive threads/price performance between Ryzen CPUs and Intel's range of CPUs.
We should note that this is entirely rumour and speculation as the NDA surrounding any details (and specifically prices) isn't until July 6th.
Secondly, it pisses me off that AMD did it this way.
Gigabyte's takes on Nvidia's new GPUs fall under the company's Gaming, Aorus and Windforce lineups.
