Sunday’s First Warning Forecast Heat humidity and storms

High temperatures on Sunday may be a degree or two cooler in some locations, but will still be in the low to mid 90s. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Where showers/storms hit, they will will provide at least temporary relief from the heat.

Due to the high moisture levels any showers or storms that do develop Tuesday or Wednesday could produce heavy downpours with lots of thunder and lightning, small hail and gusty winds. Rain chances are around 40%. All three days will be partly sunny with the high temperature between 83 and 87 degrees each day. This means we will have "feel like" temperatures in the lower 90s again this week. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 75. South southeast wind around 5 miles per hour becoming northwest after midnight. South wind 9 to 13 miles per hour.

Sun: High: 89 Low: 71 Mostly to partly cloudy. Partly sunny, with a high near 93.

Today: Mostly cloudy. Warm and humid.

Storm chances will rise Friday night along and north of I-70 as a weak cold front slides into Kansas from Nebraska. More seasonal highs arrive early next week, along with less humid conditions as higher pressure builds back into the Midwest!

MONDAY: Mostly sunny and hot. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 63.
