The BBC's David Ornstein reports the Tottenham Hotspur and England right-back is on the verge of joining Atletico Madrid in a £20 million move. He played for England at the World Cup past year but lost his place in recent squads. Both Rose and Trippier started in the Champions League final defeat to Liverpool only six weeks ago.

England global Rose played a key role for Mauricio Pochettino's side during their run to the Champions League final last season but hinted that he may look to move elsewhere ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

Having initially played second-fiddle to Kyle Walker, he emerged as Mauricio Pochettino's main right-back after Walker's departure to Manchester City.

The Mirror says Atletico are pushing hard to land England ace Trippier from Spurs for £25million.

Trippier, 28, arrived in Madrid this morning and is expected to undergo his medical in Madrid on Wednesday before putting pen to paper on a four-year-deal at the Wanda Metropolitano.

And now the French midfielder has been adapting to his new surroundings in north London ahead of his debut season in the Premier League.

Arsenal have agreed an initial £30m deal to sign Tottenham target William Saliba with Saint-Etienne centre-back set to sign a five-year contract at the Emirates, according to reports in France via the Metro.

Trippier will be seen as a like-for-like replacement for Juanfran, who was released at the end of his contract.

They are joined on the plane by club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele, who could make his first appearance in a Spurs shirt against Juve.
