Available now Enjoy a bonus VR experience for Captain Toad Treasure Tracker

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for Switch version 1.3.0 update now available, adds Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit compatibility

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Now Has VR Support

Although not quite at the same level as Sony's PSVR headset, Nintendo has been dipping its toes into virtual reality lately with the Labo VR Kit.

In the version 1.3.0 update (which is now available from the eShop), players with the Toy-Con 04 kit will be able to experience four levels from the main game with a new perspective in Toad's joyful puzzle platformer.

There's no information about when this update will be released locally. Among the gimmicks used in the new courses is the ability to rotate the stage 360 degrees and view Captain Toad's world from above or behind, and the addition of a first-person mine cart ride through a dark cavern.

The VR update has been coming to many other titles, such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey, to encourage the sales of Nintendo Labo. Four levels will be playable in the VR mode.

The Nintendo Labo VR Kit itself was released in April and is the fourth entry in the family-friendly build and play series.

Between 1st August and 11th August Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will also be free to download and play for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.

Will you be using your Labo VR kit for this?
