Google is rolling out a feature that will refund you the difference if you book a flight through its search function and the price goes down before you fly.
To bring in all of these changes, Google is offering a price guarantee for certain flights booked between August 13 and September 2 for US -based domestic or global travel that's completed by November 24.
Now just before you think that this new service is rolling out internationally, well according to Google, this new feature is only available for select itineraries originating in the United States with domestic or worldwide destinations for now. On top of this, for a very limited time, if the price for your trip drops anytime from when you book to when you take off, the company will refund you the difference. These come in addition to the company's Travel Trends tool, which will tell you what destinations are trending for Labor Day, and where you can get a hotel deal.
Many people use services such as Skyscanner to find the best prices on flights before purchasing from a travel company or airline. Those flights will be designated with a price guarantee badge, and travel must be completed between August 13 and November 24, 2019.
It's also worth pointing out that flight price prediction isn't a new thing.
Aside from the promotion, longer-term features on google.com/travel, are aimed to give more pricing data. On top of that, for some flights, the app will be able to show you how the price has changed over the past few months. You can export the places to a list which you can share and you can even add notes to the places so you won't forget what you ate or what you liked about it. Reservations, Live View, and the new Timeline will roll out to Google Maps in the coming weeks.
The functionality has been cooked right into the Google Search app. Also, if you like our efforts, consider sharing this story with your friends, this will encourage us to bring more exciting updates for you.
